NATURE'S SPAS

Soap Lake, located in Central Washington’s Columbia River Plateau region, has long attracted naturalists to its mineral-rich shores.  Formed thousands of years ago, the lava carved lake was eventually left isolated from other tributaries, giving ice-age minerals thousands of years to evaporate and eventually accumulate upon the lake’s muddy floor.  Its long been thought that the lake’s mud contains medicinal wonders that not only rejuvenate and soothe the skin, but also provide a natural cure for an assortment of ailments.  www.soaplakecoc.org or 509-246-1821.
