MOUNTAIN TO SOUND GREENWAY

Start the day with a double shot latte in Seattle and end it with a rack of mouthwatering ribs in the rodeo town of Ellensburg.  The Mountain to Sound Greenway is a designated section along Interstate 90 running between Seattle, and ending just over 100 miles away in Ellensburg, home of the famous Ellensburg rodeo.  This is the first designated National Scenic Byway on an interstate.

Along the way, riders can look for the “Sleeping Indian” in Mt. Si in North Bend, or take a short side trip to breathe in the mist generated from the 258-foot drop of Snoqualmie Falls.

At the peak of Snoqualmie Pass, stop at one of the three ski resorts and take a chair ride to the top for breathtaking views.  In the spring and summer, the town of Thorpe has a fruit stand just off the freeway that sells delicious, local fruit.
