Edinburgh

It is the capital city of Scotland, and seventh largest city in United Kingdom as well as second largest in Scottish after Glasgow. Edinburgh city Council is also the government Council area along with 31othe council areas. It is located in Southeast of county and lies on east coast of Central Belt, near North Sea. Vast collection of Medieval, owing to rugged setting and architecture of Georgia that includes many stone tenements and is considered as one of picturesque cities in the Europe. City is well know for it annual Festival and attract many tourists to come in this city.

Visitor attracts to city for that festival, which is roughly equal to settled city's population. Most famous event in festival are, Fringe of Edinburgh a largest performing art festival in the world, Comedy Festival of Edinburgh that is also the largest festival of comedy in world, international Festival of Edinburgh as well as book festival.

Scotland Islands

There are more than 790 islands in country, which are found in main (four) groups, Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland and Inner Hebrides with its outer parts. Cluster islands are also there many of these islands are strong tides, Corryvreckan tide race in between Scarba and Jura largest whirlpools in world. Largest inland in country is Harris and Lewis that extends 2,179 square km and there are also further 200 islands that are greater than 40 hectares in the area.

97 islands of Scotland are more famous, of which there are 92 offshore islands. These are inhabited previously such as Mingulary, Kilda and Noss, which are popular. Between 1991 and 2001 population these islands fell by overall 3%, there were although 35 islands where population increased. Total population of these islands in 2001 was about 99,739. Only 14 islands were populated over 1000 people and some over 100 peoples only.
