Berlin is another of those places in Germany where you can have a wonderful time shopping. Shopping is perhaps even more stimulating and fun here, thanks to the many interesting shops in the buzzing streets of Berlin's newly awakened city centre.

Berlin's largest consumer temple has been attracting visitors from all over the world ever since 1907. Its climax, quite literally, is to be found on the top floor: the famous delicatessen department on the 6th floor enjoys an international reputation. But the KaDeWe faces competition too the luxurious shopping malls in Friedrichsstraoe are prepared to challenge both Berlin's classic stores and their international counterparts.
The surrounding city also has lots to offer, by day and by night, which is why a journey to Berlin is always far more than just a shopping holiday. Aside from the big revues, such as in the Friedrichstadtpalast, smaller cabarets also have their audiences. The Bar jeder Vernunft is by now more than an insider tip. Many a young artist has made the leap from the mirrored tent into the limelight of the world.
