Wood Borton Hall

Wood Norton Hall is a glorious Grade II listed country house set in 170 acres of beautiful Worcestershire countryside overlooking the famously scenic Vale of Evesham. Previous occupants include a medieval monarch, a banana importer, the first Lord Craven, and the French Bourbon-Orleans family whose fleur-de-lys emblem adorns much of the oak panelling and interior décor.

It is now a hotel offering sumptuous hospitality. One of its most appealing qualities is its marriage of splendid Victorian detail with modern standards of comfort, nowhere more successfully brought off than in the forty-five bedrooms and suites. Period features, ornately tiled bathrooms with pedestal baths, and beautiful furnishings establish a standard of luxury associated with aristocratic country living, a standard continued in Wood Norton’s superb dining. The award-winning Le Duc’s Restaurant provides an exquisite setting for uncomplicated dishes celebrating local produce, brought together with a subtle hint of continental inspiration and with a wine list bearing the names of some of the world’s finest vineyards. Private dining in elegant surroundings can also be arranged.

The venue for the wedding of Princess Louise of Bourbon to Prince Charles of Bourbon in 1907, Wood Norton has a long tradition of spectacular wedding ceremonies, now conducted in the Hall. Similar experience in catering for business visitors informs its immaculate conference and meeting facilities, providing a location of great character fitted with the most up to date technological aids. Among the many leisure activities that can be provided for private guests or corporate events are golf, laser shooting, archery, falconry, clay shooting, off-roading, go-karting, and ballooning.
