Tylney Hall

On the border between Berkshire and Hampshire, no more than an hour's drive from London, stands the Grade II listed Tylney Hall. Set in 66 acres of ornamental gardens and parkland, Tylney typifies the great houses of the past. The authentic atmosphere of an English country house is still apparent in the hotel today.

Guest accommodation includes rooms and suites with four poster beds and jacuzzis, while the Victorian Greenhouse has created a further selection of luxury and intimate suites within the grounds. Inside the Hall, aperitifs are taken in the wood-panelled Library bar whilst in the glass domed Oak Room restaurant, winner of 2 AA Rosettes, haute cuisine is served by skilled and conscientious staff. Functions for up to a hundred are catered for in the Tylney Suite or Chestnut Suite, while more intimate gatherings are held in one of the other ten private banqueting rooms.

Tylney offers extensive leisure facilities which include indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, multi-gym, sauna, tennis, croquet, snooker, and mountain bikes for hire. Health & Beauty treatment rooms will be opening mid 2000. Hot air ballooning, archery, clay pigeon shooting, golf, and horse riding can all be arranged with prior notice. Surrounding the hotel are wooded trails ideal for rambling or jogging. Among the many sites of historic and cultural interest in the locality are the cathedral city of Winchester, and the historic towns of Windsor, Guildford and Reading.
