Stoke Park Club

The recorded history of Stoke Park Club begins immediately after the Norman Conquest, when William I took the estate from a vassal of the defeated King Harold and gave it to William de Stoke. Built in 1808, the Mansion is a pearl of Georgian architecture amid the magnificent landscapes created by Capability Brown and Sir Humphrey Repton.

Hitherto a private residence, in 1908 Stoke Park Club was purchased by "Pa" Lane Jackson and transformed into Britain's finest country club. Today the hotel offers superb guest accommodation to members and non-members alike, furnished with antiques, paintings, and original prints, enjoying exquisite marble ensuite bathrooms with cast iron baths, and with many rooms opening onto terraces overlooking the surrounding parkland. Every requirement is catered for in memorable style, whether it is a sandwich from the 24 hour room service, laundry service, currency exchange, or a four course dinner taken in the award-winning "Stoke's Brasserie" or one of the elegant private dining rooms. The tireless commitment and attention to detail of the hotel staff also make Stoke Park Club the consummate venue for corporate events, able to cater for numbers from four to a thousand.

Pride of place at Stoke Park Club is taken by its famous 27 hole golf course. Widely acknowledged as one of the most enjoyable courses in Britain, guests can now also benefit from a wide range of other leisure facilities.

There is also a new £10 million Spa, Health, Fitness and Racquet Facility completing the vision of becoming the Great British Club
