SEA KAYAKING & CANOEING

Sea kayaking creates an intimate bond between the paddler and the sea. Quiet and unobtrusive, a kayak is a sturdy, yet swift vehicle for exploring the myriad forms of sea life found in the San Juan archipelago, along Washington's magnificent shoreline, and throughout Puget Sound.

Experience the habitat of Orca whales, Dall’s porpoises, nesting bald eagles, river otters, harbor seals, fallow deer, and many varieties of migratory sea birds in their natural habitat. Paddle around the San Juan Islands April through October to see resident orca whales. Some trips are shorter in length and slower paced, others are designed for the fit and adventurous. Hourly, half-day, and multi-day trips are available.  For a list of outfitters, contact:  www.VisitSanJuans.com
