Panama City Beach Spring Break

Over the last 10 to 15 years, Panama City Beach has steadily grown in popularity and the number of Spring Breakers that flock to its scenic shores has also surged. Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida's panhandle, Panama City offers all of the best of the Spring Break experience without having to fly or drive for more than 1 day.

Students from the Eastern half of the U.S. find that Panama City is several hours closer than most of the other Florida Spring Break destinations and that it also attracts a large number of Southerners, who are renowned for their partying and laid back demeanor. Most of the SEC and ACC schools are well represented at Panama City during Spring Break and it is often home to many of them during summer vacation.

Because Panama City Beach is primarily a young adult destination year-round, the atmosphere here is geared toward a younger crowd and the whole place just wreaks of good times and great memories. Once you've reached Panama City, things are usually pretty crazy and you shouldn't run into any problems with the police, as long as you're not a real ass. The drive in can be a little tricky though, as most of the surrounding small towns and counties target road-tripping breakers to pad their budgets. Never speed and make sure that all alcohol containers are in the trunk of the car. Many of the local towns have drug-sniffing dogs and police will inspect prescriptions to verify the owner's name, etc. - so be very careful.
