Cancun Spring Break
Situated on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun offers something for almost everyone. In addition to your standard beach activities and watersports, Cancun is also in very close proximity to some of the most impressive Ancient ruins in the world. The Mayan culture that flourished in Central America for thousands of years has left countless structures for modern tourists to enjoy. The trips to see these places are not reserved for history buffs and archaelogists - the bus tours often include an "open cooler" of your favorite beverages and swimming at some of the coolest inland locations around. If you're tired of the beach and the sun, hop on a bus for an afternoon and drink your way through the Mayan ruins. As with any legitimate Spring Break destination, the nightlife in Cancun is adequately insane. There are a slew of happening bars, with a new one opening almost weekly. Since it's Mexico, the "laws" are a little less strict and not as vigorously enforced, so you have a little bit more of a margin for error. However, the consequences if you are caught and incarcerated are far more severe. The Mexican penal system is not as forgiving as ours here in the U.S. and you could easily get lost in the shuffle, never to be heard from again - so keep your pants on, Gringo.
