WINTER FUN IN POLAND
Snowy slopes, bright sun and plenty of skiing fun! Or... a long, relaxing weekend in a spa, with beautifying treatments and long walks in charming surroundings of best Polish resorts.

1.      Szklarska Poreba – a resort in Karkonosze.
The little town in the top of skiing season guests almost as many tourist as it has inhabitants.
There are two chair lifts that will take you to the Mountain Szrenica, where the network of ski trials is situated.
Due to snow making facilities, you can ski on Szrenica from November till April.

2.      Jakuszyce – Polish centre for cross-country skiing.
Jakuszyce are situated in the neighborhood of Szklarska Poreba.
The Piast Race is that takes place there every last Sunday of January is enumerated on Euroloppet, list of international sports events.

3.      Karpacz – the major resort in Karkonosze, with a great access to Sniezka, the highest mountain of Karkonosze.
There are chair ski-lifts, and three ski runs with different levels of difficulty.

4.      Ustron – situated in the neighborhood of Wisla, provides skiers with excellent facilities and is also a renowned spa where especially respiratory diseases are cured.

5.      Szczyrk – situated in Beskidy – with the Mountain Skrzyczne is definitely one of most attractive Polish skiing resorts.
The facilities and attractiveness of Szczyrk make it easily compete with major resorts in Alps.

6.      Wisla – in Beskidy, a place where world cup in ski jumps holder, Adam Malysz was born.
It is also where the biggest Polish river Vistula springs.
Wisla has got all facilities for alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.

7.      Zakopane – winter capital of Poland.
Nestled at the foot of Tatra Mountains, the highest range of the Carpathians.
Zakopane hosts tourists and winter sports lovers, international sports events and mountain climbers.
The most famous skiing area is Kasprowy Wierch, but one can find many, many more great alpine slopes and cross-country skiing trials.
Zakopane is surrounded by many picturesque little villages and settlements with excellent accommodation facilities, among which you cannot miss Bialka Tatrzanska.

8.      Szczawnica – Palenica has the best facilities for snowboarding.
The Polanica Mountain trails can compare with the most famous European resorts.

9.      Krynica – one of the most charming Polish spas, where you can also ski on Jaworzyna mountain, fully equipped with ski lifts and other necessary facilities.

10.  Ustrzyki Gorne – situated in the very south-eastern corner of Poland, in Bieszczady mountains, is probably the least crowded and most genuine resort you can think about. However, all skiing facilities as well as accommodation are on really great level.

SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN POLAND
ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2007 will take place in Warsaw between 22 and 27 January 2007.
Polish capital will be hosting competitors and fans of the discipline for the second time in history, after 99 years!
The tournaments will take place at TORWAR I and TORWAR II, one of the biggest event and sports hall in Warsaw.

FLY NORWEGIAN – NOW TO BERGEN!
The biggest Scandinavian budget airline Norwegian is opening a connection between Warsaw and Bergen on the west coast of Norway!
The first plane will take of on November 11.
Additionally, Norwegian expands the number of connections between Warsaw and Oslo to 11 per week and up to five per week from Stockholm to Krakow.

Cinematographic Lodz
International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography in Lodz has been throughout the years by the big of the biggest of international cinema.
