POLAND INVITES YOU FOR SUCESSFULL SUMMER HOLIDAYS

WELCOME TO POLISH MOUNTAINS!  
There isn't finest place for those who like active vacation than Polish mountains in the summertime.
Beautiful landscape of southern Poland provides it all: from gentle hills to Alpine climbing, meetings with pure nature, original cuisines and culture of highlanders and great accommodation facilities.
We have prepared the list of all times favourite spots and resorts.

1. Karkonosze and Karpacz
- the highest chain of Sudety mountains, situated in south-western part of the country, in neighborhood of Wroclaw, is perfect for quite ambitious climbers.
Plenty well prepared trails and wonderful lanscape will satisfy all guests.
Good accommodation in the capital Karpacz or surrounding villages is an additional plus.

2. Sudety Mountains
– with charming spas: Polanica (www.polanica.pl) and Kudowa (www.kudowa.pl) situated in one of the most picturesque Polish valleys, a Klodzko valley, surrounded by unique rocks formations called Bledne Skaly.
The whole area is full with other attractions, such as a chapel of sculls and more.

3. Szklarska Poreba
- perfect base for climbing up the mountain Szrenica, as well as many others.

4. Szczyrk
- situated in Beskidy mountains, surrounded by gentle hills and forested mountains, is a great place for those who like nature and folklore.

6.  Zakopane and Tatra Mountains
- Polish winter capital is definately the busiest resort in the summertime as well.
Wonderful Alpine mountains, breathtaking views, different scale of difficulcy - from walks in the valleys to climbing on rocks using specilized equipment. Zakopane is surrounded by many cosy villages where ou can find excellent, cheap accommodation.

5. Szczawnica
- situated in the heart of Pieniny National Park, where rafting on Dunajec Ravine is the biggest attractions.
Otherwise you can climb the rocks of Three Crowns, the highest mountain in Pieniny, and enjoy pure nature and geeat views.

7. Krynica Gorska
– a spa with artistic atmosphere, with waters that cure numerous diseases.
The spa is nestled in Beskid Sadecki, from which splendid views on Tatra Mountains and Pieniny spread.

8. Bieszczady
- the wildest and most unexplored of Polish Mountains, situated in the souuth-east corner of the country.
You can walk there for hours, having bigger chance to meet a wild animal rather than a human.
The moutains spread gently for miles, creating an endless landsape of meadows and slopes.
Sourrounding villages provide good accommodation, peace, quiet and sepration form civilization.

THE BEST OF... LUBUSKIE REGION
Poland's only private safari, one of Europe's largest ornithological reserves and wine festival every year?
That is what Lubuskie region has got to offer to those who, avoiding the most crowded places in Poland will decide to visit one of its less famous, but nevertheless beautiful regions.
Here is what you should see:


1.  Zielona Gora (The Green Mountain)
– the city holds the Feast of the Grape in September every year.
Many beautiful examples of ancient architecture. Nearby village of Ochla has a skansen with rural exposition.

2.  Miedzyrzecz Fortified Region
– was ordered by Hitler to be built between 1934 and 1938, nowadays it is a huge reserve of bats!

3.  Miedzyrzecz
– a medieval castle that stands on the bank of Obra river.
A museum, a manor house and two churches, all extra interesting for history fans.

4.  Lagow
– a picturesque holiday spot set on two lakes of two amazing colors.
The city has also a couple of impressive examples of medieval architecture and a summer film festival that attracts movie lovers from all over Poland.

5.  Swierkocin
– Polish only private safari which can be visited by bus or by car.
Each section represents a wildlife of different region of the world: India, Africa and Asia.

6.  Mouth of Warta River National Park
– is situated where Warta joins Odra.
254 different species of birds.
In the fall, 200 000 snow geese take rest in the area.

St.Dominic's Market

The oldest event of that kind in Poland.
Its origins date back to XIII century.
Nowadays this trade even is accompanied by plenty of concerts, performances and shows.
This year the Market will take place between July 29 and August 20.

Baltic Sail

It is an international sailing event that takes place in many Baltic harbours like Nörrköping, Helsingborg and also Gdansk.
Festival of shanties, races and much more for big sails lovers, this year on 27-30 July.

Highlanders in Zakopane

International Highlanders Folklore Festival in Zakopane - the biggest event of this kind in Poland, collecting performers from all over the world, an absolutely unique, dynamic and genuine meeting of cultures, languages and people.
This year's edition will take place between 18 and 26 august.

CHOPIN IN THE PARK
Do you want to listen to Frederic Chopin's music performances live for the whole summer?
Nothing easier! Between May and September a two concerts are given in Lazienki Park in Warsaw, every Sunday at 12 and 16.
Visit Chopin's birth place Zelazowa Wola, a house where he grew up at Krakowskie Przedmiescie in Warsaw and listen to a concert in the splendid sourroundings of royal gardens in the centre of Warsaw.

SKATING CHAMPIONS IN POLAND
ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2007 will take place in Warsaw between 22 and 27 January next year.
Polish capital will be hosting competitors and fans of the discipline for the second time in history, after 99 years!
The tournaments will be taking place at TORWAR I and TORWAR II, one of the biggest event and spots halls in Warsaw.
